EVARISTO OCAMPO GANA finished his college at the Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City in 1982 with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws at Ateneo De Manila University School of Law in 1986 and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1987. He continued his studies at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and received his Masteral and Ph.D. degrees in Government Management and Public Administration respectively.

Atty. Gana started his career in the field of law as a litigation lawyer handling immigration, criminal and civil cases in Luy-Martinez Law Offices in Makati City. After one year, he became a Senior Corporate Attorney at the Manila International Airport Authority, NAIA Complex, Pasay City. Having an expertise in civil, criminal and immigration cases, he was later appointed as Chief of Legal Department of Mar-Tierra Shipping Agency, Inc. and Asia Bulk Transport Phils., Inc. in 1990. Thereafter, Atty. Gana became the Chief of the Monitoring and Research Division of the Presidential Anti-Crime Commission (PACC). He also served in various government agencies, such as the Bureau of Immigration, where he served as the Chief of Intelligence Division, the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Task Force, where he served as the Chief of Foreign Liaison Group, and finally, the Senate where he served as the Chief of Staff of the Office of Senator Panfilo M. Lacson.

In 1996, Atty. Gana started on his own when he opened the Gana & Associates Law Firm. Through hardwork and drive for excellence, Atty. Gana established a good name and reputation among his colleagues in the profession. As the Managing Partner, he was able to attract several clients including, among others, several big companies in the country. His firm is now popularly known as the Law Firm of E.O. Gana and Partners.

Atty. Gana was born in the province of Kidapawan, Cotabato on October 26, 1961.
